What Causes Cancer

More on Cancer, Home page

When my father was diagnosed with cancer I set about researching what could be done for him to cure the cancer. I was too late but I have continued to research cancer and this page is about those conclusions learned.

Cancer is like a weed in the body. It flourishes when its environment is right for it. Doctors have tools such as chemotherapy for killing the weed. The real trick to beating cancer and staying cancer free is to create a healthy body environment. Doctors will not do this for you, you have to do this for yourself. Latest research indicates that cancer is a metabolic disease that flourishes in a low pH anaerobic environment and that cancerous stem cells distribute cancer around the body. We reduce the risk of cancer by staying clean on the inside and the outside.

Researchers at Duke University’s Institute for Genome Sciences & Policy (IGSP) have grouped gene pathways according to the six major hallmarks of cancer: 1) self-sufficiency in growth signals, 2) insensitivity to anti-growth signals, 3) evasion of cell death, 4) limitless ability to proliferate, 5) sustained ability to grow new blood vessels and 6) the ability to invade tissues and spread. Then they developed an analytical framework for discovering which pathways are relevant throughout a particular form of the disease and which are only active in certain stages.

Inflammation increases the risk of cancer so things that cause inflammation are cancer causing agents. The list is extensive and includes viruses, bacteria, cigarette smoke, solvents, heavy metals and foods and oxidized oils (heated cooking oils that have gone rancid). Pickled meats are especially unwise to eat. Spirits and ports are unadvisable.

Inflammation occurs when the immune system gets excited. Free radicals and things that generate free radicals excite the immune system, things like heavy metals acting as a catalysis. Read about heavy metals free radicals and mercury Bacteria generating toxins and things that the immune system recognizes such as cells infected with viruses and bacteria. Being overweight has inflammatory consequences and increases cancer risk by six times. (Kimberly Pryor, Vitamin Research Jan 2008).

Our cells have inbuilt defenses against cancer and when these defenses fail cancer will flourish. Cells have cancer detection systems and a suicide gene system which switches on to make the cell self destruct. In anaerobic low ph environments this gene does not work properly.

Cells have two ways of getting energy and the preferred method is using the microchondria which are referred to as the power house of the cell. These things are small bacteria like areas inside cells that burn sugars with oxygen energizing the cell and generating free radicals which antioxidants collect and store for further processes or consume and burn up. The suicide gene relies on the microchondria to work and if the microchondria does not work properly its function fails and cancerous cells can not commit suicide.

Cells can burn sugars anaerobically (without oxygen) and this creates lots of lactic acid, lowers the ph making the cell environment more acidic. It also creates partially burnt sugars which can be like toxins in cells. Starving cancers increasing the life expectancy and I would submit does this by decreasing anaerobic combustion and increasing aerobic combustion. Fat people are six times more likely to get cancer and this may be an explanation.
